One brand. Many markets.

Franchise SEO coordinates search work across corporate teams and franchisees, including shared websites, local information, and reporting for individual locations.

Depending on the brand, corporate may control the website while franchisees supply local information, approve changes, or handle inquiries. Kretz Consulting Group helps franchisors identify what is limiting customer acquisition, agree who owns the response, and implement the work across the locations in scope.

Resolve ownership before asking every location to participate.

We review the existing website and local search arrangements alongside the way the franchise operates. Your team supplies the brand standards, contractual constraints, and approval requirements so we can recommend work within those arrangements.

Corporate control and local inputs

Establish who can edit pages, manage profiles, confirm service availability, and approve location details. Shared changes need a corporate owner, and local facts need someone who can verify them. We record the approvals and exceptions the proposed work depends on, so an implementation plan does not assume access the team lacks.

Territories and overlapping pages

Examine how location pages, service-area pages, and internal links represent the markets you serve. When several pages compete for the same search, we investigate whether the website reflects the actual operating boundaries. Corporate provides the territory rules; Kretz recommends the page and linking changes.

Opening, changing, and closing locations

Review how a location change reaches the website, local profiles, and reporting. The scope can define the required information, approval point, and checks for each change. Your operations team confirms the underlying facts before Kretz implements the agreed website work.

Reporting corporate and franchisees can use

Agree what counts as a qualified inquiry or booking, where it is attributed, and what is missing. Compare locations only where the data supports the comparison. A location with incomplete tracking needs a measurement correction before a zero in the report becomes a conclusion about demand.

Plan the rollout around the people who must act.

A technically correct recommendation can still require local information or an approval that has not been assigned. The delivery plan names those dependencies and separates the centrally managed build from the work operators must complete.

Test the process with a defined group

Where local participation is required, we can scope an initial group of locations to test the instructions, approvals, and website changes. Corporate chooses the participants and owns internal coordination, while Kretz specifies and implements its portion, documents unresolved issues, and recommends changes before expansion.

Keep common technical work consistent

Search Engineering handles the shared templates, architecture, and integrations agreed in scope. Your engineers may build with our specifications, or Kretz can implement directly; both routes require release approval and checks. Broader market and technical assessment is described on the multi-location SEO page.

Scope the first engagement around a decision corporate can make.

The Search Intelligence Diagnostic starts with a specific concern: uneven local acquisition, conflicting pages, unreliable unit reporting, or a rollout that has stalled. We agree which locations, systems, and stakeholders are needed to investigate it.

A plan corporate can implement

Your team receives the findings, proposed priorities, and implementation requirements, including the local participation each recommendation needs. Timing and fee follow the agreed scope.

Identify who controls each asset

02

Define corporate and local responsibilities

03

Agree how rollout and results are reviewed

Questions from franchise teams.

Can franchisees keep their existing local marketing providers?

The proposed work does not require a universal provider change. We first establish who controls the assets and what each provider is responsible for. Any change in those arrangements remains a corporate decision.

Does this cover franchise development leads?

This scope concerns customers finding and choosing operating locations. Recruiting people to buy a franchise has a different audience and conversion path. It would require its own evidence and a separate agreed scope.

What if franchisees will not supply information?

We identify which recommendations depend on local input and what can proceed centrally. Corporate owns participation and escalation. We do not promise a rollout that depends on unconfirmed access or approvals.

Can you prove which locations are losing revenue because of SEO?

We can investigate the relationship between search and local customer actions. Revenue conclusions depend on reliable sales or booking data and an appropriate comparison. Missing tracking, operational differences, and market conditions can limit what is attributable to SEO.

Where is local execution getting stuck?

Describe the acquisition problem and the responsibilities split between corporate and franchisees. We will discuss a first scope that your team has the authority to implement.
